The Mouse Atlas and Gene Expression
Database On-Line Information

The Mouse Atlas Project is a cross-disciplinary effort between developmental geneticists, anatomists and imaging and computer scientists. The biological developments include the standardised anatomical nomenclature a fully defined and image mapped anatomy, 3D voxel reconstructions for each developmental stage and a database for gene expression and other spatially organised data. In computing terms the Project encompasses development in image processing, database design, informatics and graphical user interfaces.

As well as journal publications the Edinburgh Mouse Atlas and Gene Expression Database Project also has available technical reports, discussion documents, collaborative project reports, software, sample picture and movies and a schools page.
