WELCOME TO THE EDINBURGH MOUSE ATLAS DATA CD-ROM PAGES

The CD-ROM contains a set of the MouseAtlas 3D models, anatomy domains and mpeg movies.

The data can be accessed directly from the CD-ROM or copied to your local computer. The companion Software CD-ROM has software that allows you to view and manipulate the data contained on this CD.

The CD-ROM contains 2 folders named "Models" and "Movies".

Models

The "Models" folder contains subfolders named according to Theiler staging numbers (ts07, ts08 etc).

Each of the subfolders contain the MouseAtlas 3D models and anatomy domains for that Theiler stage.

In order to view the models and anatomy on your computer you will need to install the MouseAtlas software that comes on the companion Software CD-ROM. The Software CD-ROM also has guides on how to use the software to view the models.

Movies

The Movies on the CD-ROM are in mpg format.

The "Movies" folder contains subfolders named according to Theiler staging numbers (ts07, ts08 etc).

Each of the subfolders contains "SectionMovies" and "3DRotatingViews".

SectionMovies are named frontal.mpg, sagittal.mpg and transverse.mpg for each Theiler stage. These movies step through the MouseAtlas 3D Models in the 3 orthogonal planes.

3DRotatingViews are volume rendered versions of the MouseAtlas 3D Models, some of which have coloured anatomy domains visible. These are equivalent to the embryo views on the MouseAtlas webpages http://genex.hgu.mrc.ac.uk/Atlas.
