MA-GXDQuery allows you to browse predefined sections through mouse
embryos from Theiler Stages 7 to 14 in transverse, frontal and sagittal
orientations and Theiler Stage 20 in transverse sections.
- Use the representation of the whole embryo in the lefthand
window as a navigation for slice direction and location. By
moving the cursor over the section in the center window the
the anatomy is highlighted in blue and the anatomy name is displayed
at the top.
- Click on the anatomy to lock the highlighted tissue. The
name is displayed at the top of the section window, and in the
pull down list below the section.
- Select "No Selected Component" or click "Deselect" to release
the highlighted tissue.
- The relationship between displayed anatomy section and anatomy
tree is two way, any anatomy present in a particular slice will
be labeled with a "*" in the anatomy window.
- Click on the anatomy tree, if a "*" is present against an
anatomical component the selected part will be highlighted in
the displayed section.
- Double clicking on a component in the anatomy tree, or using
the right mouse button (browser dependent) brings up a small
pop up menu. Select the option "find gene expression" to link
to the MGI gene expression database.
- Above the navigation windows, select 3D navigation to get
a rotating reference embryo.
