Query EMAGE entries
  • This group of searches return a table where each row is a summary of an EMAGE entry.
gene

  • Use a gene/protein name, symbol or ID as query term.
  • MGI, Entrez, Ensembl, VEGA, UniGene, RefSeq, GenBank, SwissProt IDs supported.
  • The search can be filtered by expression strength and Theiler stage.

spatial region

  • Use an embryonic region as query term.
  • Paint your query region using our on-line interface.
  • The search can be filtered by expression strength and Theiler stage.
  • Genes with spatially similar expression patterns to the query region are returned.

anatomy

  • Use the name of an anatomical structure (e.g. "brain", "eye") as query term.
  • The search can be filtered by expression strength.

combination

  • Search the EMAGE database using a combination of query terms.
  • Search fields include gene, anatomy name, ID, stage, GO term, assay type etc.
  • Build up a query step-by-step.
  • Choose to include or exclude query terms.
  • Auto-suggestion of query terms as you type.

Browse Gene and Pathway summaries
  • Gene summary and gene association searches return a table where each row is a summary of expression for a gene at one Theiler stage.
  • Pathway search returns a table where each row is a summary of expression for a biological pathway.
gene summary

  • Search for expression patterns summarised at gene and stage.

pathway

  • Search for gene expression in biological pathways.

gene association

  • Search for associations between genes.
  • Results are summarised at gene and stage.

Analysis Tool
  • Additional tools to search and analyse EMAGE data.

direct access

  • Search EMAGE using computational methods:
  • JSON, Webservices, URL

cluster

  • Hierarchically cluster gene expression data based on the spatial similarities between the patterns.
  • Find genes with globally similar patterns of expression (i.e. synexpression groups).
